Variable Minimum Stay

You can tell the reservation system to change the minimum length of stay for certain dates. This can be useful if you want to set a minimum stay for holiday periods like Christmas or bank holidays. You do this as follows:

Create the Code

var dates=new Array();
var stay=new Array();

Dates

The dates for a period should be placed between the brackets in the dates array in DMY or MDY format. The format must match the date format used on the website. To check the date format you can look at any of the booking forms or the search page. Dates are entered as a pair separated by an asterisk Example: "dd-mm-yyyy*dd-mm-yyyy" which is the starting and end dates for the period. You can add as many entries as you like but each entry must be separated by a comma.

Minimum Stay

The minimum stay for each period should be placed between the brackets in the stay array. It is entered as a whole number with each number (do not enclose the number in quotation marks). You must add a minimum stay entry for each set of dates entered into the dates array. The minimum stays are entered in the same order. Therefore, the first minimum stay in the stay array corresponds to the first set of dates in the dates array.

Example:

Set two periods for 5 October 2010 to 15 October 2010 with a minimum stay of 5 nights, and 12 December 2010 to 18 December 2010 with a minimum stay of 10 nights

5 October 2010 to 15 October 2010 is entered as: "5-10-2010*15-10-2010"
2 December 2010 to 18 December 2010 is entered as: "2-12-2010*18-12-2010"

The completed line in min_stay.js looks like this:

var dates=new Array("5-10-2010*15-10-2010","2-12-2010*18-12-2010");

The minimum is entered as a whole number. Each number is the minimum stay and is in the same order as the dates

var stay=new Array(5,10);

The entire code would look like this:

var dates=new Array("5-10-2010*15-10-2010","2-12-2010*18-12-2010");
var stay=new Array(5,10);

Notes:
  1. You can enter as many date sets and minimum stays as you like.
  2. You don't have to enter the dates in chronological order (the December dates could be placed before the October dates
