Room Rate Bands

Three types are room rate bands are available: Seasonal, Daily, Flexi-Rate, Day-Week-Month and Different Price for Each Day

Seasonal

A seasonal rate bands span a whole year. The year is split into contiguous blocks of days with each block of days representing one season. You can have up to 24 seasons in one year. The seasons can start on any date but must span an entire year.

Example: You could have a seasonal rate bands with 3 seasons. Within each season you will be able to enter different prices for your room types. RezEasy will calculate the cost of a booking using this price information. If the arrival and departure dates span more than one season the prices in each season will be used to calculate the total cost.

Example of Seasonal Rate Bands with 3 seasons:
15 May to 14 Dec
15 Dec to 10 Jan
11 Jan to 14 May

Daily

A daily rate bands spans a whole week. The week is split into contiguous blocks of days. You can have up to 4 blocks of days in one week. The blocks of days can start on any day of the week but must span a complete week. A day block can be a single day or up to 7 days.

Example: You could have a daily rate bands with 3 blocks of days. For each block of days you will be able to enter different prices for your room types. RezEasy will calculate the cost of a booking using this price information. If the arrival and departure dates span more than one block of days the prices in each block will be used to calculate the total cost.

Example of Daily Rate Bands with 3 day blocks:
Monday to Thursday
Friday
Saturday to Sunday

Flexi-Rate

A flexi-rate bands is a combination of the seasonal and daily rate bands and spans a whole year. The year is split into contiguous blocks of days with each block of days representing one season. You can have up to 24 seasons in one year. The seasons are split into 2 contiguous blocks of days spanning a whole week. The seasons can start on any date but must span an entire year. The blocks of days can start on any day of the week but must span a complete week.

Example: You could have a flexi-rate bands with 3 seasons where each seasons has 2 blocks of days per week. Within each season you will be able to enter two different prices for your room types (one price for each block of days). RezEasy will calculate the cost of a booking using this price information. If the arrival and departure dates span more than one season and/or more than one block of days the prices in each season/day block will be used to calculate the total cost.

Example of Flexi-Rate Bands with 3 seasons and 2 day blocks of days:
15 May to 14 Dec. Monday to Thursday
15 May to 14 Dec. Friday to Sunday
15 Dec to 10 Jan. Monday to Thursday
15 Dec to 10 Jan. Friday to Sunday
11 Jan to 14 May. Monday to Thursday
11 Jan to 14 May. Friday to Sunday

Day-Week-Month

A day-week-month rate spans a whole year. The year is split into consecutive blocks of days with each block of days representing one band or season. You can have up to 52 bands in one year. The bands can start on any date but must span an entire year. A day-week-month rate has different prices according to the length of stay. Example: You could have a day-week-month rate with 3 seasons. Within each season you will be able to enter different prices for your room types. RezEasy will calculate the cost of a booking using this price information. Example of Day-Week-Month Rate Band with 3 bands:

15 May to 14 Dec rate per day, per week, per month
15 Dec to 10 Jan rate per day, per week, per month
11 Jan to 14 May rate per day, per week, per month

How the Rates are Applied

If the length of stay is less than 7 days the per day rate is applied.
If the length of stay is from 7 to 29 days the per week and per day prices are used. Each whole week will be charged at the per week rate and any remaining days will be charged at the per day rate.
If the length of stay is 30 days or more the per month price is used. Each whole month will be charged at the per month rate and any remaining days will be charged at one thirtieth of the per month rate rate.

Note: If the arrival and departure dates span more than one rate band, the prices in each band will be used to calculate the total cost. However, the rate band for a week or month is determined by the date of the first day in that week or month.

Different Price for Each Day

The year is split into individual days and a different rate can be entered for each room type on each day of the year.

Note: When using this type of rate you should remember that you will have a considerable amount of data to enter and maintain.

Low Season Closure

If your property closes for part of the year you can tell RezEasy to block reservations that period. This is done in two ways:

When you publish your reservation system you can specify up to 2 periods to block per year.
You can use the set availability feature of the online admin to set availability to zero for one or more periods.
